Who we are
Scale Suite Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based outsourced finance and HR firm for Australian SMEs.
Registrations
The registered office recorded with ASIC may differ from the trading address above.
- Registered BAS Agent 26298194 with the Tax Practitioners Board. Search the public register by that number.
- Certificate of Public Practice, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
- Xero Certified Advisor.
- Professional indemnity insurance of $2,000,000 per claim.
- Not a registered tax agent. Income tax returns, FBT returns and structuring are prepared by an independent registered tax agent partner who contracts with the client directly.
Liability limited by a scheme approved under professional standards legislation.

What we do
A complete outsourced finance function, with optional HR, for Australian businesses from startup to $30M+ revenue, and from small professional teams through to 300+ staff.
We work with businesses Australia-wide. BAS and IAS lodgement is handled digitally through the ATO, so your BAS Agent does not need to be in your city.
Included in a typical finance engagement
- Bookkeeping and bank reconciliation in Xero, reconciled weekly rather than monthly, so your BAS is prepared from a current file instead of reconstructed at quarter end
- Payroll, superannuation and Single Touch Payroll reporting
- BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement under registration 26298194, including the agent lodgement extension
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Weekly cashflow tracking, so you see the position before it becomes a problem rather than after
- Variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Senior Chartered Accountant oversight for modelling and strategic decisions
Available alongside
- HR, covering policies, recruitment admin and performance frameworks. See HR services.
- Employer-of-record hiring for clients who want overseas staff on their own team. Quoted separately.
- Project work outside a monthly package, such as system migrations, financial models, due diligence support and board packs, is scoped and quoted before it starts.
Specialist finance services
Each covers a specific situation and starts at $2,500 per month.
What Scale Suite does not do
- Income tax returns or tax structuring
- Audit, assurance, financial product advice or legal advice
- Operations, IT helpdesk or marketing retainers as a connected back office
- Stay-put MYOB or QuickBooks without migration. We specialise in Xero
- Cheap standalone BAS lodgement from someone else's unreconciled file
Pricing
All figures exclude GST and are indicative.
- Finance packages from $1,500 per month. Most complete finance functions $2,500 to $6,000 per month. See pricing.
- HR packages from $500 per month. Typical full HR function $1,500 to $4,500 per month.
- Specialist finance services start at $2,500 per month. See finance services.
- One-off finance tasks: bank reconciliation from $520, BAS or IAS lodgement from $790, cashflow forecast from $650, payroll tax from $290. See finance tasks.
Quotes are fixed before work starts. Volume, headcount, entities and reporting depth move the fee.
Commercial terms
- No 12-month lock-in. Monthly retainers.
- No setup fees.
- 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Either party may end the engagement with 30 days' written notice, effective at the end of the current billing month. See Terms.
- Fees increase 5% per annum on the engagement anniversary unless the engagement letter says otherwise.
- Onboarding is typically about one week for a current Xero file. Catch-up work is scoped and priced separately and can take longer.
- Service target: same-day action on routine requests. Weekly bookkeeping and weekly cashflow.
Software
Primary: Xero. Payroll and HR: Employment Hero and Xero Payroll. We are Xero Certified Advisors.
How work is reviewed
- Two-person review on finance work before it reaches the client.
- BAS and payroll-related work reviewed by a registered BAS Agent before lodgement.
- Lodgement under Australian BAS Agent registration 26298194, from a file our team has reconciled.

- You need a few hours of bookkeeping a month.
- You need someone physically at a desk in your office every day.
- You are committed to MYOB or an ERP and do not want to move.
- You only want the cheapest possible bookkeeping layer.
